I have worked in psychotherapy and related professions for many years in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. I trained in counselling at the Herts and Beds Pastoral Foundation, affiliated to the Westminster Pastoral Foundation, in 2001. This was followed by training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at The Guild of Psychotherapists.
I am a full, accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am registered in their Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis. I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The Guild of Psychotherapists. I adhere to the ethical standards of these professional organisations. Each organisation’s code of ethics is available on their websites with further information about psychotherapy.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, (ICO) which legislates and offers guidelines for the processing and confidentiality of personal data.
Over the years I have worked in a variety of psychotherapeutic settings. These include the NHS Mildmay Hospital which provides specialist HIV and AIDS services, the NHS Barts and Homerton Psychotherapy Service and Waterloo Community Counselling. I continue to work in the Guild’s Reduced Fee Clinic and with the Churches Ministerial Counselling Service (CMCS).
I am a supervisor and offer clinical supervision on a weekly or less frequent basis for trainees and qualified psychotherapists. This is agreed on an individual basis.
